Traffic Jam’s End Through the Mobility Transition

Ministry of Transport Baden-Württemberg

In Baden-Württemberg, a new software system manages traffic efficiently, reduces congestion and CO₂ emissions, and secures the future of mobility. Okari is responsible for concept development, planning, and implementation.

Federal Ministry of Education and Research

Munich's transport system has been given a digital twin. “DatSim 2.0 Digital Mobility Twin Munich” digitally maps Munich's mobility in order to test the effectiveness of measures. The simulation allows traffic and emissions data to be analyzed and emergency response routes to be optimized. Okari develops situational steering and control strategies.

Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport (BMDV) as part of mFUND

Traffic in Germany is growing, placing strain on cities and the environment. SATURN develops solutions that digitally collect and transmit traffic management strategies and integrate them into routing services. This reduces traffic jams and makes mobility more environmentally friendly – as tested in Munich, Stuttgart, and Frankfurt. Okari develops the digital transmission and supports implementation in the pilot regions.
