In Baden-Württemberg, the Mobi-Data BW Hackathon brings together developers, creative minds, data providers, and mobility experts to develop innovative solutions for the transportation transition. Okari contributes project management, organization, acquisition, and content support — and makes the event a success even during the pandemic.
Challenge
Digital and environmentally friendly mobility requires fresh ideas based on real data. However, connecting innovation sponsors, data providers, and creative teams is complex: suitable players must be identified, mobility challenges must be clearly defined, and relevant data sets must be made available. At the same time, the public must be engaged and innovation promoted. The challenge is to design a lively, collaborative process that involves all participants from the outset and motivates them to perform at their best.
Solution
We coordinate the entire hackathon process, from acquiring innovation sponsors and data providers to implementing and following up on the event—completely digitally, overnight. Our experienced team ensures clear communication, solid working foundations, and efficient participant management. We support the stakeholders in formulating challenges and accompany the teams through the funding application phase.
We are supporting the project by:
- Project management and control
- Content design for workshops and tasks
- Funding advice
- Stakeholder engagement
Added value
The hackathon enables the Ministry of Transport to specifically promote innovative mobility solutions and actively drive forward digitalization in the transport sector. The structured process generates practical ideas that can be quickly translated into pilot projects. The participants benefit from valuable contacts, expert knowledge, and direct access to new data sources. The open exchange accelerates the development of market-ready, environmentally friendly solutions and strengthens the innovation ecosystem around mobility in Baden-Württemberg.
